The Job: (all sexes welcome)

The Social Media Lead will administer the company’s social media marketing and advertising. The person in this role will leverage all best, as well as next, practices and trends in social media marketing. More than enjoy being creative, they live in the socially brave zone, thinking of, and executing on, the fun ways to introduce Ryonet’s Brand (product and team) to the world and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience. The Social Media Lead is all about Ryonet, highly motivated, positive and creative, with experience and passion that can be measured in results as they connect with current and future customers, as well as assist in attracting more of the RyoNation. Social Media will change and expand over time, this role keeps up with that change and will stay ahead of it because they love it.

Must have ALL these skills:

  • 2 years experience or education in the science behind effective social media
  • Type 50+ words per minute
  • Skilled at prioritizing and capturing relevant data
  • Creative journalism or creative writing in short stories
  • Active Linked in account- know all your connections
  • 2 years of driving active social media for a growing company
    • Preferably a product company

Core Objectives: This role is part of the Marketing team and is responsible for growing our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company. As He/she will engage with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers. Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to success. An essential component is communicating the company’s brand in a positive, authentic way what will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected buyers.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Snapchat, Instagram, Vine, etc
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to both spread our brand and our content and links
  • Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know us
  • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success, ranging from Twitter chats, to Google+ Hangouts, to LinkedIn conversations, as well as the content and links posted through these and other channels
  • Work alongside other marketers and content producers to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence
  • Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target buyers
  • Maintain and grow the advocacy program. Creating content, challenges and rewards
  • Create a regular publishing schedule
  • SEO (search engine optimization) and generation of inbound traffic
  • Attend at least 4 trade shows a year
  • Assist Cultivation Specialist in messaging/our Team Member of the month and invite others to our Ryonation
